EU Fishing Agreements
Sustainable fisheries partnership agreements (SFPA) are recognized within the EU legislation in the Base Regulation Reform of the Common Fisheries Policy (EU 1380/2013 Reg.) in Title II, as the legal instrument for the European fleet to access resources in third countries ensuring transparency and sustainability of the activity of the European fleet in coastal countries.
Sustainable fisheries partnership agreements of the EU are the only ones in the world that are available to the general public, ensuring full transparency of the activity of the European fleet in the EEZs of coastal countries
