Códe of good practices

Tuna fishing vessels must meet the requirements of the Code of Good Practices contained in the Standard and have an internal control with two levels of action

  • On-board observers (human or electronic) to verify compliance with the requirements of the Standard able to generate the corresponding records. Observer coverage should be 100% in all oceans (Atlantic, Indian and Pacific).
  • On land, through an internal control body to coordinate the work of the observers, manage downloading of the information to the database and verify compliance with the requirements of the Standard. The OPAGAC/AGAC fleet has signed a Code of Good Practice according to the Standard.
